The local community of Riverbank struggles with the dangers associated with crossing State Route 108. In order to help solve this problem, O’Dell Engineering, a Westwood company worked with Caltrans and the City of Riverbank to develop a complete streets design to safely facilitate pedestrians crossing SR-108. The preliminary design included narrower streets, a bike path, shortened pedestrian crosswalks, and lighted safety beacons.
