This private project is located within the Covenant Village of Turlock, a covenant retirement community. The design program included a 1,600 s.f. pond and fountain, a stroll path, foot bridge over the pond, a 3,000 s.f. artificial grass putting green and a stage, wired with electrical outlets and a microphone jack. The stage was placed and designed to take advantage of a large turf area for events and social occasions. It is accented by an amazing backdrop created by large evergreen trees, a lighted jet fountain, and rushing water flowing from two elevated ponds across moss rocks of varying sizes and shapes. An appropriate design element to the project is the planting selection which highlights plant families mentioned or referred to in biblical scripture. Water conservation was also an important facet of this project requiring a drip system to be installed within all shrub beds.
